Which oil should I use?
Vinnie’s Oil is built like system for wood, Where you should be able to use the series of oils in any situation, even with toxic free products.
FOR:
Untreated wood – We recommend to always use the UPO as first treatment. 1 – 3 layers. and compliment with wax. This combo provides the ultimate protection, and the strongest toxic free treatment possible for wood. You can also use Universal as monocoat.
Exposed wood surface - we recommend to use UPO 2 – 3 layers, and compliment with 1 layer of wax.
Light wood - If you do not want a deeper colour for the wood, and keep its natural look. We recommend Vinnie's oil Universal. Otherwise you can use UPO or UPO+wax.
For very exposed surfaces - Use UPO 2-3 layers + WAX after the UPO has polymerize fully..
Maintainence – Maintainence for an already treated, but worn surface, we recommend UNIVERSAL if you dont want to sand the surface all over again. If you decide to sand it and put a new treatment on. See description for ”untreated wood”. The universal also prevents the wood from drying and cracking, and will give new life and protection to old furnitures. It also has a slight protection from UV.
Wood Outdoors – UPO + WAX is a great combo for outdoors. You will have to reapply every 1-2 years depending on weather conditions.
Leather – UPO and/or Wax or universal works on leather to renew and give a shine and luster to it. Hide cracks and vintage appearence.
Concrete – All treatments work for concrete.
Iron and metal – All treatments work for iron. But we recommend the Universal or the UPO. This will give a beautiful shine to it and protect from oxidation/rust. For certain purposes, such as friction dampening we recommend Vinnie's Wax.
Plastic/epoxy – All treatments work for Plastic. But we recommend the universal or UPO and to apply thin layers. For certain purposes, such as friction dampening or waxing of skis, Vinnie's Wax is recommended.
